Version: SCCM 2012 SP1 CU2 and MDT 2012 Update 1 (Upgrading to R2 and MDT 2013)
Part 6 – Create the MDT 2013 Toolkit Package
In order to create an updated MDT package, create an MDT task sequence. In this example, I’ll simply choose the “Client Task Sequence” template. Mid-way through the task sequence wizard, you will be prompted to create an MDT package. After you have completed this step, the task sequence can be deleted if not needed.
Select the “Client Task Sequence” as an example.
Provide name for task sequence
Select one of the previously created MDT 2013 boot images.
Specific a location to store the source content files for this MDT package.
Provide Name and Version
In order to complete this task sequence, an image needs to be provided.
If you don’t already have a USMT package that corresponds to the ADK 8.1, create one.
When complete, click Finish.
Verify that your MDT and USMT packages were created successfully and replicate out to your distribution points.
The source content files for MDT should have the following folder structure.
